Meet Rhiannon
I’m Rhiannon Zyanya Llewellyn, and I am a holistic entrepreneur.
I grew up on a farm in the countryside of Shiawassee County, Michigan, spending my time reading and daydreaming and climbing a lot of trees. I did a lot of chores, my school work (we were homeschooled), and rode my bike down the dirt roads in the evenings.
Memories from my childhood smell like fresh baked brown bread and like the heavy scent of a plowed field at dusk.
They sound like the hum of crickets on a hot summer’s day and like the bubbling chirp of a hundred baby bullfrogs in the swamp. They look like farmer tan lines on my legs and shoulders from mowing the grass all day, and like motes of wheat straw dancing in the sunlight that streams through the barn walls. They feel like the weight of ivory piano keys during my daily practice, and like the sting of gravel-encrusted skinned knees.
After I graduated at sixteen, I got a job so I could get a car and pay for the insurance myself. Having money left over every month was such a novelty that I spent it all right away, on lip glosses and new shoes and an occasional magazine. Being a grownup seemed downright fabulous, if confusing.
I had a lot more jobs, and got married several times, and moved around in Michigan and once to Illinois. I’ve been left and I’ve been the leave-er. I’ve been brokenhearted. I’ve been abused. And I’ve taken the lessons I learned with me, like a string of precious gems I wear around my neck.
I have four amazing, brilliant, spectacular children that were my first inspiration for doing better, for stretching further, and trying harder.
Ian, Lissie, Joey and Serenity on Halloween 2011
It was my children who reminded me that there is intense rightness and beauty in stopping work to give a hug or a kiss, to make a meal, to go play outside, to read a book.
And it is my children who, as they grow and change, are teaching me about the sacredness of what we have here… creativity, and love, and space to flourish.
Everything is sacred. Every act is a prayer, a ritual, a blessing.
Everything you do in your business, every interaction you have with a client, every word written for your website: it all has meaning. It is all sacred.
This is what I teach, it is what I live, and it is my driving passion in every aspect of my business. I would love to build something meaningful with you.
Namaste, my love.
xoxo,
Rhiannon Z. Llewellyn
